Infobip has an educated and strong opinion about how localization should work for their global product. Time-to-market speed and costs are critical factors for scaling their localization program.

Understanding the context of UI content in translation management systems (TMS) can be tricky. Out-of-context strings often create confusion or guesswork on the translator’s side. Project managers usually gather such feedback and forward it to the content producers.

Infobip wanted to be on top of this cycle and provide direct feedback to speed up the overall process. By taking over the contractual and financial management with translators, the company’s localization team aimed to optimize overall costs and guarantee transparent pricing with their translators.

They were looking for a localization partner able to apply the agile methodology to the localization process without being directly involved in the translation management itself.

Beluga’s know-how in selecting, training, and onboarding linguists was key to successfully integrating the human factor in Infobip’s global tech production.

By lightening our administrative workload, we focused the work on talent management and regular quality assurance tasks.

We presented the client with a lineup of reliable and dedicated linguists that would work directly with them, facilitating the information exchange and speeding up query resolution and problem-solving.

Beluga’s project coordination remained non-intrusive and carefully aligned with Infobip procedures, all while permanently looking after the correct development of the localization process.

With a contingency plan in place for any eventual mishaps, Beluga is the guarantee Infobip’s products will be updated and deployment-ready in every language and all at once.

After more than a year working on this new model, we have achieved a high level of satisfaction for all parties involved: our customer, vendors, and ourselves.

The client has increased the number of languages with which they work in this model (a number that has been progressively increased since we started our collaboration); the vendors are satisfied and confident thanks to the transparency and agility of the processes in which they are involved (translation, resolution of doubts, receipt of payments, etc.) and at Beluga, we are pleased to be able to meet the customer’s expectations by implementing a new way of working.
